Job Description:

Under the supervision of the on-site Gaming Manager, the Pull-Tabs Dealer is responsible for the secure, customer-oriented, and legally compliant sale and redemption of pull-tab tickets. They serve as representatives of the Humane Society of Kodiak and the Kodiak Chamber of Commerce on the gaming floor, requiring high standards of integrity, accuracy, and courtesy to maintain community trust. To protect the organization's permits, the Pull-Tabs Dealer must strictly enforce a zero-tolerance policy for compliance errors. Every retail transaction must adhere to the statutes and administrative regulations issued by the Alaska Department of Revenue Tax Division (Charitable Gaming Section).

Required skills and abilities:

• The most critical skill for a pull-tabs dealer is a strict, non-negotiable commitment to state gaming regulations.
• Ability to perform calculations to verify winning ticket values, count cash drawer change, and track total cash receipts and ticket payouts.
• Ability to interact with the gaming public, organization members, and supervisors in a friendly, courteous, and diplomatic way. Keeping a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance that positively represents the Kodiak Chamber of Commerce and the Humane Society of Kodiak.

Hiring Requirements:

Education Level: No Minimum Education Requirement

Minimum Age: 21

Requires a Driver's License: No

Legal Background Clearance: Must pass a state fingerprinting or criminal background check, with no convictions for a felony, theft, dishonesty, or gambling-related violations.

Minimum Salary: $14.00 per hour

Pay Comments: Salary + Tips

Maximum Salary: $14.00 per hour
