Midtown Auto Repair is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional technician who takes pride in accurate diagnostics, quality repairs, and consistent performance across a wide range of vehicles.
We are a family-owned, full-service automotive repair facility that has been serving the Kodiak community since 2006. We offer a clean, friendly, and team-driven work environment where quality and integrity come first.
Primary Responsibilities
Diagnose, inspect, and repair vehicles with accuracy and efficiency
Execute advanced technical and electrical diagnostics using professional-grade tools
Perform high-quality repairs across all major vehicle systems
Communicate findings clearly and support the Service Advisor with actionable information
Document work thoroughly and precisely on all repair orders
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace
Contribute to a fast-paced, team-driven environment focused on excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
On a typical day, you may perform:
Detailed vehicle inspections and diagnostics
Electrical troubleshooting and drivability diagnostics
Use of OEM factory and advanced aftermarket scan tools
Brake system inspections and repairs
Steering and suspension diagnostics and repairs
Drivetrain diagnostics and repairs
Wheel alignments and related services
Qualifications
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities
Minimum of 2 years experience in a professional auto repair shop
Ability to perform repairs across multiple systems and vehicle types
Must supply your own tools to complete daily work
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable using internet-based applications and shop software
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a team environment
Valid driver’s license
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 20+ pounds
Highly Preferred
ASE Certifications or equivalent (trade school, college, or dealership certifications)
