Free Electronic Recycling Event

Free Electronic Recycling Event KANA, in partnership with the City of Kodiak, Matson, Caring for Alaska, Zender Environmental, and Backhaul Alaska, will host a free Electronic Recycling Event on September 25 and 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day at the City of Kodiak Storage Yard on Near Island, adjacent to St. Herman’s Harbor. Community members are encouraged to bring unwanted electronics for responsible recycling. Accepted items include microwaves, toasters, laptops, computers, monitors, phones, tablets, radios, televisions, DVD players, printers and copiers, fax machines, cables and wires, fluorescent bulbs, and lead-acid batteries. Please note: Large appliances, smoke alarms, scrap metal, household batteries, ballasts, medical equipment, and items containing liquids cannot be accepted at this event. Businesses and those with large quantities should contact Lisa Fox at lisa.fox@kodiakhealthcare.org in advance to schedule a drop-off.
