Description

The Alutiiq Museum is hosting a fall lecture series featuring local researchers. Our third lecture is hosted by Alaska Sea Grant Mariculture Specialist Melissa Good.

Alaska’s pristine, nutrient rich waters and robust coastal communities provide unparalleled opportunity for mariculture—the enhancement, restoration, and farming of shellfish and aquatic plants. This presentation will provide an overview of the current mariculture industry in Alaska, efforts to grow the industry, and the resources currently available.

Join us for this free public presentation in the museum’s gallery. Open to all. Supported by the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council.
